What types of memberships do you offer?

Several payment options are available ranging from Annual, Monthly and Pay Per Visit.

Are there any costs other than the membership fee?

There is a one-off joining fee, which varies per club. Please contact your local Club for more information.Other than that, the only other costs are for additional services such as personal training

Do you cater for absolute beginners?

Yes! A high percentage of our users are complete beginners – so you will not be alone in wanting to get into shape. A wide variety of support programmes are also available to get you started.

How often will I need to visit to benefit my health?

Three or more times a week is the general recommendation, however this does not take into account individual circumstances and goals. The truth is every little bit helps, particularly when combining healthy eating with a more active lifestyle. We like to be realistic and our advisors can help you schedule regular visits.

How do I get started?

Either pop into your local Activ8 club or call us to arrange a suitable time to ensure one of our advisors is available.

What types of activities could I participate in at Activ8?

From the moment you visit one of our Activ8 clubs, you will see that we are more than just a gym. Our Health & Fitness Advisors will show you around the gym and activity areas allowing you to choose the most appropriate activities and payment options for you and hopefully your family members and friends. Activities within our privilege membership include use of our gyms, pools, health suit and our popular fitness class programme.  Pay per visit customers can access activities on an pay per visit basis.

Can I join if I have a medical problem or illness?

Although we always advise that you seek advice from your GP prior to starting a new exercise regime, we feel there should be no barriers to becoming active. We have a comprehensive range of support programmes and trained staff to get you started on your journey to improved health.

What age do I need to be to join?

To join as an adult user you must be 16 years or over, however our Teenactiv8 programme (T8) offers young people 12-15years the opportunity to use our gyms and a range of suitable fitness classes.
